13-inch MacBook Pro Mid-2009

Apple 13-inch MacBook Pro Mid-2009 Review

Just days after the launch of revised MacBook Pro's, I am pleased to bring you my hands on review of the 13-inch version. This really is a fantastic laptop from the guys and gals at Apple. Please check out the review and enjoy!

People are running dragon age on it so I assume the geforce 320m is decent, but I just don't want to be working on video or playing a game and feel like the screen's too small.

At medium graphics settings, yes.
If you have a gaming PC at home anyway and need a good laptop that can also play games once in a while, then the 13" MBP is a good choice.
If you want to use your laptop as a desktop replacement, then look elsewhere.

so i want to buy a mac book pro but i dont want to spend a butt load of money, im looking at the most basic 13 in one but i want to run games like WoW, and do a lot of video editing , i want to know if this comp will be enough for that and if its not i will go up to the 15 inch but id rather not spend the extra money.

For WoW it'll be fine on the 13-inch, though video editing you might struggle with performance a little and screen real estate. One solution would be to use an external monitor attached for video editing. Other than that, the base 15-inch would be a much better choice. Thanks for your comment, I hope that helps.

The video says, battery good for 1000 charges.
I mostly run my laptop pc with ac power, with the adapter. How would this machine react to that.I have a usage of nearly 5/7 hrs a day, would that mean a replacement of battery in 3 years. If so, what does it cost ??

Well, you could run it plugged in most of the time. Then just run it battery once every couple of weeks to exercise the battery. Apple state that it'll have around 80% capacity after 1,000 full recharge cycles. So this really is plenty. When you do need a replacement it costs around £100 I think.

Macbook Pro 13 Video Review

Apple 13" Macbook Pro Video Review - HotHardware

The 13" Apple Macbook Pro features a new uni-body enclosure that is carved from a solid block of aluminum for added durability. The 13" Macbook Pro also features a LED-backlit screen with a higher color gamut than most notebooks, a backlit keyboard, and a 7 hour battery that actually lasts about 7 hours, which reaffirms Apple's reputation of advertising realistic battery life claims.

A number of other features like a built in iSight webcam, a Superdrive (CD/DVD reader and writer), a Magsafe power adapter and for the first time for Apple a built in SD card reader--all in a package that's about 4.5 pounds--make this one heck of an attractive little notebook.

The one we tested was the lower end model equipped with a 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 1066MHz frontside bus and 4GB (two 2GB SO-DIMMs) of 1066MHz DDR3 memory.

people who say that when they "convert" to macs, and say that pc's are just a piece of junk, if you did take the time to studyy a pc, they are a very decent computer. you being you, your biased to the fact that you need to get a mac to become cool and popular because its the must have piece of equipment. Pc's do alot more for you in the long run than macs. bottom line.

Im not entirely of your opinion. Think about, hardware is the same, yes, and they do ask for a lot of money. But at least u get (besides the strong aluminium finish casing) a very very good OS system and a high reliability when it comes to the operating system handling programs like sony vegas or 3Ds MAX instead of crashing constantly. I dont have a MAC, but i wish i could cuzz my pc IS junk.
